The Wacky TV Anchors in Philadelphia

How much trouble can one woman cause? It all starts with Alycia Lane of CBS 3.

This is some drama.

Last year Lane emailed vacation bikini photos of herself to Rich Eisen of NFL Network. (They're old friends.) His wife Suzy Shuster, a sideline reporter for ESPN, found the email. Her reply: "Boy, do you look amazing in a bikini . . . congrats! Whatever you're doing, (Pilates? yoga?) keep doing it - it's working for you. Anyway, sorry but those seven e-mails you sent to my husband, Rich, well, oops, they came to the e-mail address we both use from time to time, but no worries, I'll forward the beach shots as well as the ones of you dancing with your friends on to his main address. Do you have it?" This information was leaked to the newspapers in Philly. Lane couldn't figure out how that happened(?). Meanwhile on a weekend trip to NYC to hang out with Howard Stern and her boyfriend Booker, a DJ at Q102 (He's been since fired), she gets in a fight with a NYC police woman and calls the cop a 'dyke'. She's arrested and calls the Governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell for legal counsel. (The governor?) After the incident in December CBS 3 fires her. Two months ago the FBI investigates her co-anchor Larry Mendte for hacking into Lane's personal email account. CBS fired him. Friday he pleaded guilty to the felony charges and says he's seeking psychological help. He also admitted in a statement that he had a "flirtatious, unprofessional, and improper relationship" with Alycia Lane — a relationship he said turned into a feud after it was exposed. Mendte's wife, Dawn Stensland, an anchor at FOX 29, found out about the relationship when she read her husband's email. He said he had been wrong to access her e-mails and then pass along information to reporters. Mendte said their once-close relationship "turned into a personal feud" - and that Lane started "undermining" him with station management. That, he said, was when he began to check her e-mail. Who gave him her password? (She did.) How many times did he access her email? Only about 500 times.

Now over at NBC 10, Vince DeMentri was fired this week after having been off air since July 3, when he met with station management over an alleged incident in the station's parking lot involving the car of morning anchor Lori Delgado. Delgado's car was keyed Ghetto-style. The two used to be particularly close friends. Of course both are married, not to each other.

Did Alycia Lane have anything to do with that also?

And you thought Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was bad
at least he still has his job...
