Kwame pleads guilty, will resign as mayor of Detroit, and is off to prison
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pleaded guilty today to charges resulting from a sex scandal and is to resign from office, a prosecutor said. The mayor pleaded guilty to two counts of obstruction of justice. Kilpatrick will go to jail on October 28 and serve 120 days, in a statement from Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
