TJMS reportedly chooses Roland Martin as the new "Tavis"

Tom Joyner chooses Chicago talk personality Roland Martin as his new commentator according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Feder says that the highly touted position will be going to Martin. Roland will wind up his morning talk show in Chicago at 1690 WVON at the end of September, and will then start his gig at the TJMS. He’s also a contributor to CNN, a commentator for Radio One’s TV One cable network, and a contributor to Essence magazine.

Update: It looks like there will be three commentators replacing Tavis. In addition to Roland Martin, Jeff Johnson and Stephanie Robinson were named as news and social, and political commentators for "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" after public voting ended in a dead heat. No offical word from the TJMS regarding Roland Martin and the story from the Chicago Sun-Times. Hmmmm.......
