Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind"

Whatever your thoughts about the Big Apple, the latest single for radio airplay "Empire State of Mind" featuring Alicia Keys from Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 is hot. Well actually the hook from Alicia is crazy and will become an anthem for the city right next to Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York." Maybe not that far...BUT

...some song's should NEVER be remixed for a sports team anthem. Is there anything as wack as "Yankees Run This Town" from Z-100? Now we know why Jay-Z didn't drop "DOA-Death to Autotune" on Z-100. Take a listen, as if someone would really want to download this Z-100 exclusive! The song was written for the Elvis Duran Morning Show, a syndicated morning show from Clear Channel radio. Not a listener of Elvis Duran...but this remix wouldn't play well with listeners in other cities would it?

How about DOS? Death to Syndication. Especially "wack", "yuk, yuk" syndicated morning shows.
