Here's The Rickey Smiley Morning Show

Is this Radio One's definition of a different direction? (could or could not be) Now that Clear Channel has turned over the urban radio audience in St. Louis over to Radio One by default by pulling the plug on Hip Hop and R&B music on KATZ FM 100.3 The Beat; we find the Rickey Smiley show not only in St. Louis but several key markets including Atlanta, Detroit, Baltimore, and the show's home base in Dallas.

Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Houston do not carry the show. But if one day they do here's some info on Rickey.

Establishing himself as a clean comic, Rickey Smiley's down home southern humor has made him a favorite in the nation's top comedy venues. Rickey has performed everywhere from intimate comedy clubs, to sold out crowds at Madison Square Garden, the Universal Amphitheater and the Lincoln Center. He has released three comedy CDs: The Best of Comedian Rickey Smiley: Volume I, Rickey Smiley Prank Phone Calls Volume II, and Rickey Smiley: Volume III. Now, Rickey is waking up B'more every weekday on 92Q from 6am-10am with the "Rickey Smiley Morning Show!" Join Rickey along with Ebony, Head Crack, Gary, Rock T, Darrius Bradford, Miss Bernice and all of his other crazy characters and get your day started with a laugh!

The above information was retrieved from the Hot 104.1 St. Louis website. Yes a little confusing if you're in St. Louis. Maybe as confusing as Radio One's decision to buy Black Planet and to put it on all of their station's website. Haven't used your Black Planet account since 2002? Maybe you've forgotten your login?

Meanwhile Clear Channel is going all holiday music on KATZ FM as "Chrismas 100.3".
