Hot Topic: Immigration, New Law in Arizona, and the Slavery Blame Game

Dr. Boyce Watkins talks all three topics and more. Dr. Boyce, who has coined himself "The People's Scholar", is a regular contributor to the syndicated talk show "Keeping It Real" with Rev.Al Sharpton.

In this podcast, he discusses the new law in Arizona along with a recent article penned by Harvard professor Dr. Henry Louis Gates on slavery that appeared in the New York Times. The op-ed piece from Dr. Gates is titled "Ending the Slavery Blame Game."

Here's the podcast.

Besides joining the Sharpton radio talk show, Dr. Boyce Watkins, a finance professor at Syracuse Univerity, has increased his media presence through his work with AOL's Black Voices, the NBC owned site The Grio, and on his site Your Black World.

Here's one of his first media appearances on the Wendy Williams Show.
