The Breakfast Club Debuts at Power 105.1

Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God & DJ Envy will host the new morning show at New York's Power 105.1. The name "Club" should sound familiar to New York Tri-State area listeners because it was part of the name used for years over at 98.7 Kiss FM with Jeff Foxx and the Wake Up Club, who was clearly the lead host.

This club features Angela Yee and Charlamagne moving over from Shade 45 on Sirius Satellite Radio; while DJ Envy leaves his afternoon slot at the station to join in from 6-10 A.M. So we're thinking DJ Envy is the lead host (right?)... because his name appears first on the station's press release. What do you think?

DJ Envy says, "I told myself that I would never do mornings again, but with a team like me, Angela Yee and Charlamagne, who could say no? Get used to spending your mornings with us.”

Angela Yee states, "I'm looking forward to making history with this new morning show. I can't imagine a better dream team than the one we've created and I'm excited to get to work!"

Charlamagne Tha God added, “I feel blessed and highly favored. DJ Envy and Angela Yee are two people that I have been fans of for a long time. I knew we all were moving the culture forward individually, but to be able to move the culture forward collectively under the Power 105.1 brand is something I could have only dreamed of until now.”

The new morning show has even gathered support from former host Ed Lover via twitter. We're looking to the new show too, simply because Charlamagne has always been opinated and about his views and continues to speak out about importart issues within the Hip Hop culture, the music industry and where it's going. Here's the release.
