Roland Martin responds to Jon Stewart poking fun at his ascot
A distinguished looking Roland Martin wearing an ascot... a step up from his days as a talk show host at 1690 WVON Chicago. He probably wears an ascot during his TJMS segments...Jon Stewart spent five minutes on "The Daily Show" discussing CNN's Roland Martin and his genteel, on-air ascot. Stewart can barely contain himself for most of the segment, saying, "It may be my favorite thing I've seen on CNN."

A Funny Bit from The Big Tigger Morning Show
The build-up and the aftermath of last weekend's Floyd Mayweather - Shane Mosely fight left many boxing fans pretty disappointed. The fight turned out not to be much of a fight, but the following bit from the WPGC morning turned out pretty good. The bit features Big Tigger, Danella, and Donnell Rawlings AKA Ashy Larry. It's not quite the Chappelle Show, but as far as morning show bits are concern, this is pretty good. ...and much better than the replay of the fight this weekend. Here's the prefight press conference from Las Vegas.
The in-studio Double D Battle between Danella and Donnell.

Ernie Harwell, the voice of the Detroit Tigers Dies at 92
Like legendary music radio DJ's of the past, long time baseball announcers become the fabric of the daily lives for so many people. Especially in this case for the people of Detroit. The intimacy of radio lends itself to this unique position that a radio personality has. The humbleness and kind demeanor of this man are impressive. It's one of the reasons he became a beloved announcer. The following video was a tribute to Ernie Harwell from last September. He had known that he was dying from cancer at the time. The tribute came eight years after his last broadcast for the Detroit Tigers in 2002.
