Time to Get Rid of Your Cable TV - TMZ Reports Keith Olbermann Fired from MSNBC because of Comcast's Acquisition of NBC Universal

Keith Olbermann was fired by MSNBC and sources tell TMZ it had everything to do with Comcast's acquisition of NBC.

Sources connected with the network tell TMZ... Comcast honchos did not like Keith's defiance. (We loved it!) Sources say Keith had around two years left on his contract, and he'll be paid his salary --around $7 million a year. We don't know if Comcast will let Keith make a deal with another network as part of an exit agreement, but it's a good bet he'll be benched for a minimum of 6 months, and probably longer.

We knew this Comcast purchase of NBC deal would not be a good thing...(this looks like the first of many) Maybe Keith Olbermann can land on his feet at CNN. Good night and Good Luck Keith. We think you'll be OK, but as far as America goes, we're not so sure we can afford to lose a media voice that counter-attacks the views of FOX News and radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck.
