V-103 Atlanta provides Public Service Programming (?) to Boost Web Traffic

So what would you do to get listeners to come to your website?

This is what they do in the ATL. We're not sure how well this plays out on live and in living color radio. In any event this segment, "Wanda's Playhouse", seemed to be effective for V-103 (WVEE).

This trio appeared on the Frank and Wanda Morning Show. Their segment was billed as a treat for the ladies... but wait this is Atlanta, so we're not sure if they are the only ones who got a treat.

Check out the studio appearance at V-103.com, as Frank Ski, off camera encourages the females to increase the hits on their websites before he would let the guys take off their shirts.

The station also promoted an advertiser, Intimacy Bra Fit Specialists on the Ryan Cameron Show with Elle Duncan. They gave an in-studio demonstration on how to pick out the right size bra. The real benefit of this promotion of course is for listeners to see the demo online.

V-103, one of the leading urban stations in the country, demonstrates out of the box thinking, to keep their listeners tuning in and to increase their web presence at the same time.

• WLBT anchor and meteorologist Barbie Bassett is no longer with the Jackson, Miss., NBC station after racially insensitive comments. In early March, Bassett was speaking with her fellow anchors on air about Snoop Dogg’s latest business venture, Snoop Cali Blanc, a new wine in his wine label. In response to a comment about putting a Snoop Dogg tattoo on her shoulder, Bassett said, “Fo shizzle, my nizzle.” Bassett is white. Charlamagne tha God defended Bassett as he discussed the situation on The Breakfast Club. “She might be old. She probably has no idea nizzle is a derivative of the N-word. That’s not a fireable offense. I hope she sues.”
