Russ Parr's "35 & Ticking" is in theaters and NOT going straight to DVD

But it hasn't been easy for Russ Parr to get folks to see his independent film "35 & Ticking"...and you probably haven't even heard about it.

The film was released in Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Atlanta back in May. Based on the popular actors that star in the film which include Kevin Hart, Meagan Good, and Nicole Ari Parker, you might have expected a wider release.

"People have been pleasantly surprised...They put me in a box as just a radio guy. But then they see the film and say 'This is good. I can relate.' "

Russ Parr gave an interview to the Raleigh North Carolina New Observer and discussed his strategy to get the film out there to the theaters in markets that carry his syndicated radio show. Russ also made a recent appearance on the Mo'Nique Show on BET where he talked about the film and his book "The Game Behind the Game."

"The Russ Parr Morning Show" morning show is syndicated by Radio One from 93.9 WKYS in Washington, D.C.
