Steve Harvey TV Show Picked Up by NBC Stations for 2012

Steve Harvey will now host a daily TV talk show, on top of Family Feud weekend tapings- Is there time to get up at 3:00 a.m. everyday to do a radio show too?

Radio stations now carrying "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" should prepare for Harvey to exit his syndicated radio show distributed by Premiere Radio Networks in the near future. Is there anyone waiting in the wings nationally or locally?

In 2006 quite a few urban stations were caught with their pants down, when Premiere parted ways with the syndicated Star and Buc Wild Morning Show, and they weren't able to replace him with another personality immediately. This time however the handwriting on the wall and radio stations should prepare accordingly.

If any station is ready today, it would be Washington D.C.'s 96.3 WHUR with Tony Richards, who does a daily local segment at 8:12 a.m. called "Taking it to the Streets" during the Harvey Show. Also in the wings are former 92-Q (WERQ Baltimore) morning hosts Marc Clarke and Troy Johnson, who host the Saturday night program "The Hang Suite." Anyone else in urban radio ready?
