Chaz Saunders Returns to St. Louis Airwaves on My Foxy 95.5
“May the windows of heaven open and pour upon you an abundance of blessings.”
Born and raised in New York City, she attended the University of South Carolina for Broadcast Journalism and honed her skills on their campus radio station. Soon, she became a host and news anchor with NPR as well as other local stations. After college, Chaz started her commercial radio career by launching WDPN, where she programmed and hosted an eclectic mix of urban contemporary music. The station ultimately became WMMC with Chaz becoming the youngest black female program director of a chr station in the country and garnering the #1 position in the market.
Later, Saunders did a short stint at WTBC, B –106 and doubled the ratings in less than three months resulting in her quickly being promoted to the morning team. It was then that she that an opportunity was presented to her here, and her extraordinary career in the St. Louis began. Chaz’s show was consistently ranked as one of the top four radio shows in the St. Louis market, and she was nominated as Billboard’s Radio Personality of the Year for two consecutive years. In addition, her work launched her into the national spotlight, enabling her to voice-track shows in multiple markets across the country.
In November 2007, Chaz began working on a twenty-year dream of building her own studio, and in 2008, launched Chaz Saunders Productions and Windows Studios where she provided commercial production, voice imaging, and voice tracking services for stations across the country.
Knowing St. Louis missed Chaz’s voice over the airwaves, the new My Foxy 95.5 is bringing her back to all of her fans!
