TV One’s ‘Unsung’ Returns, New Season Begins with Vesta Williams

TV One is gearing up for another season of the NAACP Image Award-winning series Unsung, with more untold stories of the most underrated, yet talented, entertainers.

Unsung explores the lives of black music artists and groups who never received the level of recognition they deserved. The hour-long biographies document the highs and lows of the music industry and what ultimately deterred the artists’ success.

This season begins with the late R&B singer Vesta Williams who scored hits such as “Congratulations,” “Sweet Sweet Love” and others. David Ruffin, Sheila E., Bobby Womack, Full Force, Freddie Jackson, Millie Jackson, Ray Parker Jr., Atlantic Starr and Whodini will also be featured.

You can catch Unsung tonight at 10/9 c on TV One. Get a sneak peek of season five.
