Charlamagne Tha God Hosts New MTV Hip Hop Show
HIP HOP WIRED MTV is bringing Hip-Hop to late night. After making millions in the reality TV sector, the network, which was started out promoting artistry, is getting back to its roots by way of the new music and performance show MTV's Hip-Hop POV.
The weekly program will feature a group of influential members in the game giving raw and unfiltered commentary on headline-making topics in Hip-Hop. Leading the pack is Power 105's outspoken radio personality—who's been known to go in on just about anyone in his crosshairs—Charlamagne Tha God, along with Hip-Hop blogger/journalist Sowmya Krishnamurthy, whose work has appeared in XXL Magazine, the Village Voice, and on MTV.com. Also included in the line-up is radio personality Devi Dev who co-hosts Sway in the Morning on Sirius XM, Def Jam VP of A&R Bu Thiam, who has worked with everyone from Rihanna to Lady Gaga, and Amanda Seales (formerly Amanda Diva). The panelist's will provide commentary during each weekly episode which will also feature a performance by a Hip-Hop artist at its conclusion.
