Steve Harvey Jump Starts a New Urban AC Station "96.1 The Beat" in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGAN.COM -96.1 The Beat in Chattanooga debuted this week with the Steve Harvey Morning Show. After Steve Harvey the station line-up features 16-year Chattanooga radio veteran Donna L. from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., JoJo Thurman is on from 3-7 p.m. and Keith Sweat is on with the Sweat Hotel from 7 p.m.-midnight. Listeners looking to take in the word from the good book on Sunday mornings should check out Keep Hope Alive with the Reverend Jesse Jackson from 10 a.m.-noon.

Officials said, "96.1 The Beat is here to provide a fun alternative for Urban listeners in Chattanooga. Expect great songs from Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick, Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, Kem, Whitney Houston, Regina Belle, Robin Thicke, Sade, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Brian McKnight, Teena Marie, Mary J. Blige, Gerald Levert, Mariah Carey, and so many more on 96.1 The Beat. If you like longer sets of the best in Old School and R&B, you’ve gotta check out 96.1 The Beat."
