Lil’ Wayne pulls Young Money and Nicki Minaj from Hot 97 Summer Jam 2012

Young Money CEO Lil Wayne pulled his artists off of New York City’s Summer Jam Concert as a result of comments made by Hot 97's morning personality Peter Rosenberg on stage. Here's the diss- Rosenberg was quoted as saying, “where is all my real Hip-Hop fans, not that starships…” He also reportedly called Nicki Minaj “wack.” ("Starship" is a recently released track from Nicki Minaj with a decidedly pop Top 40 feel to it.)

Moments later Lil’ Wayne Tweeted, “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.” Young money artist Tyga performed shortly after the tweet was sent, but it was confirmed that Nicki Minaj would not perform.

Nicki also began to tweet in regards to her cancelled performance. Some we can show on our Twitter side column timeline. You can follow Nicki Minaj's time line for some uncensored tweets and retweets on Twitter directed towards Hot 97 and Peter Rosenberg.

Summer Jam has been the largest and premiere summer concert event in the hip hop music industry. Record labels send their artists to these radio sponsored concerts for free in exchange for promotions through out the year from the radio station. Although the artist are not paid, the exposure they receive is unmatched and usually pays off with increased record sales. Will there be any repercussions following Rosenberg's comments? ...He tweeted after the Lil Wayne tweet: "Tonight just got interesting g"

This is the video for Nicki Minaj's "Starships."
