Power 105.1 goes in on Hot 97, Nicki Minaj talks to Funkmaster Flex [AUDIO]

Nicki Minaj was all set to take the stage as the headliner of New York's Hot 97′s Summer Jam festival in East Rutherford, N.J. Sunday. She never made it. Instead, she canceled because of comments made by Peter Rosenberg, the Hot 97 morning personality. He said Minaj‘s song 'Starship' was not real hip hop. Minaj took offense, as did Lil Wayne, the head of Young Money label. He quickly pulled the rest of his artists from the Summer Jam, tweeting “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.”

Nas filled in for Minaj as the concert's headliner with a guest performance by Lauryn Hill. We have a feeling we've not heard the last of this feud brewing between Hot 97 and the Young Money camp.

Hot 97 earned the honor of Power 105.1 Breakfast Club's 'Donkey of the Day.'
