Nicki Minaj Reportedly Joins American Idol

Besides her recent tweets, The next controversy might be over the product placement of Coca Cola on the American Idol set and Nicki Minaj's endorsement deal with Pepsi

New York Daily News-- Pull up a chair, because Nicki Minaj may just be joining the judges' table over at "American Idol"!

The colorful female emcee, 29, is reportedly already set to be the latest addition to Fox's hit singing competition show, a source tells Us Weekly.

"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it," the source told Us. "A few more things to sign off on but it is happening."

Another source told the magazine that Minaj is "100% confirmed to judge 'American Idol.'"

Minaj will join Mariah Carey as one of the judges on the Fox network program. See who might be considered for the third seat as Randy Jackson will take a mentoring role on the next season of American Idol with host Ryan Seacrest. Read more at the New York Daily News



Nicki was recently forced to cancel her shows at the V Festival in England due to strained vocal cords, so getting off the road might be a good thing for her at the moment... she went to Twitter today to talk to her followers and sparked a controversy with many in the twitterverse.
