WDAS Welcomes Back Quiet Storm Host Tony Brown
105.3 WDAS FM Philadelphia midday host Patty Jackson and weekend personality Mimi Brown welcome back "The Quiet Storm" host Tony Brown. Tony returns to the air on Thursday night at 7 p.m. He had been off the air after recent heart surgery.
Tony Brown celebrates 40 years in radio, while Patty Jackson also recently celebrated 30 years in radio. Mimi Brown, after a brief hiatus from radio, returned to the air waves of WDAS where she began her career over 30 years ago as well.
WDAS FM's success can be credited in part to a low rate of turnover in their local on air personalities. Audience familiarity is a key factor for the overall number three rated radio station in Philadelphia.
