Walt Frazier’s talents know no bounds. He was a first round draft pick to the New York Knicks in 1967, a seven time NBA All-Star, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, and now provides commentary on Knicks games at Madison Square Garden.

He co-owns a NYC restaurant, has written several books, and his flashy sense of style earned him the nickname, “Clyde,” after the infamous Clyde Barrow. The successful entrepreneur and sports legend has managed to maintain an image of himself shaped decades ago, without being trapped by it.

On Friday, March 8 at 7pm, the basketball icon will join WNYC’s On the Media host Brooke Gladstone to discuss the ups and downs of his impressive basketball career, his evolution into a broadcaster, his relationship with the media, fashion, and surprising hobbies like yoga and gardening.

Brooke Gladstone is the Co-Host and Managing Editor of the Peabody Award-winning “On the Media” from WNYC and NPR.
