WPEG Power 98 Charlotte Welcomes New Midday Host Vonyetta

CBS RADIO’s WPEG announced radio personality Vonyetta will serve as host of middays (weekdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm) on Power 98.  The show can be heard on Power98, www.power98fm.com and through the Radio.com app on a variety of mobile devices.

Vonyetta comes to WPEG from Columbia, SC having previously hosted middays on WHXT, a position she had held since 2011.  During her time there she was a consistent ratings leader and was active with such causes as the Mayors Walk against Domestic Violence and the NAACP.

“Vonyetta possesses natural talent and her positive attitude is contagious,” said WPEG Operations Manager/Program Director Terri Avery. “We can’t wait for our listeners to hear our new twist on middays.”

Former Power 98 midday host Artie recently moved across the hall to sister station V101.9, WBAV-FM where she holds down the 3:00PM-7:00PM Afternoon drive slot.

“I’m excited to join this extraordinary team,” added Vonyetta. “Charlotte is a great city and I look forward to planting roots and becoming part of this community.

The rest of the weekday lineup on Power 98 includes No Limit Larry and the Morning Maddhouse on-air from 5:50AM-10:00AM, Mr. Incognito broadcasting from 2:00-6:00PM, and Danny Diaz is featured from 6:00PM-10:00PM.
