The Breakfast Club Gone from Streetz 94.5, Yung Joc Takes Over Mornings

Word on the street is iHeartRadio bounced The Breakfast Club from Streetz and will re-launch it on a new station in the Atlanta market on frequencies 92.3 and 96.7 FM. When this move happens Atlanta would have six current or classic hip-hop urban stations geared towards listeners 18-34+. Some may think there are one too many Urban stations in the ATL. They may be right. In order of market popularity, the other five are: V-103, Hot 107.9, Streetz 94.5, OG 97.9 and Boom 102.9. Also in the mix are Urban Adult Contemporary stations Kiss 104.1 and Majic 107.5/97.5.

With the lost of  The Breakfast Club, Streetz has paired afternoon host Mo Quick with rapper Yung Joc for their new morning show. However the Streetz website continues to promote The Breakfast Club as it's morning show??? Jazzy McBee takes over middays at the station.

More news... GMA3 anchors T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been fired by ABC after their work affair was deemed a distraction by the network. TMZ, which first reported on their departure, cites network sources who claim they will receive payouts per their contracts. ABC reportedly accused both journalists of various forms of misconduct to justify the firings.

Nick Cannon has walked away from radio for the moment and has decided to end “Nick Cannon Radio” and “Cannon’s Countdown.” The shows were distributed by Skyview Networks and quietly went away in December. He is reportedly set to make a major media announcement in two weeks. Cannon's move necessitated 94.7 The Block (WXBK-FM New York) to hire Cipha Sounds to host middays.

A woman who is believed to be DJ Akademiks' girlfriend slammed a raw egg into his face and walked off angrily as he was live streaming. That's it. Google it. Perhaps it's something that should have happened long ago.
