Bluelight Communications Bringing Another Urban To Rochester

Bluelight Communications has purchased translator 105.5 W288CS in Fairport, NY and will move the signal into Rochester, NY and rebroadcast on a HD subchannel of Entercom's 98.9 WBZA "The Buzz." The purchase price was $650,000.

Bluelight is co-owned by veteran record executives Lester Pace and Manny Bella. Pace is known for his time at Interscope Records in Urban promotions. In radio, he worked on-air at 97.9 The Box in Houston.

Pace told All Access Music Group, “I’m excited, I love radio. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. This time it will be more on the operational side. I’m just trying to rule my own destiny. We’re going into Rochester to win. And yes, it will be Urban Mainstream. Everything is pending final approval.”

At the present time the translator 105.5 FM is broadcasting CBS sports radio station "The Team." The sports station will relocate it's 1310 AM simulcast to 97.5 FM.
