Twitter Responds to Dr. Umar Johnson Appearance on The Breakfast Club

Many people on Twitter reacted strongly against the most recent appearance of Dr. Umar Johnson on the nationally syndicated morning radio show The Breakfast Club. The show seems to have been the one platform that has gotten Johnson the attention he so desperately seeks. It speaks to the power that show headed up by Charlamagne, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee has in urban radio and social media. After his appearance perhaps the one thing that irked many was the statement Johnson made regarding the official languages in South Africa. Then came his statement on inter-racial marriage.

What's even a little more disturbing is when co-host Angela Yee, whose father is Chinese, confronts Johnson on his experience regarding the racism Black people face in China. He doesn't back down and shifts the conversation. [at the 1:30 mark]

Perhaps we have seen the last of Umar Johnson on the Breakfst Club. Or maybe Charlamagne will have him on again. Why? It gets people talking.
