Former WRNB Radio Personality "Lady B" Makes Public Appearance at Her Documentary Screening Event

Lady B pictured here with Bobby Brown talks about her departure from WRNB at the event.

Documentary filmmaker Mike Dennis has completed a journey through his film company Reel Black that began in 2001. He has finally had the opportunity to screen his two films '"Bring the Beat Back"and "A Salute to Lady B." The films showcase Lady B's lifelong career in Hip Hop and radio along with the artists out of Philadelphia and the role they played in the early years in Rap music.

During the event Lady B also spoke about her departure from her radio home over the last decade at 100.3 WRNB. She said she was disappointed in the company she worked for. That company was Urban One, Inc. also known as Radio One. Lady B was replaced by the D.L. Hughley Show in the afternoons at the station.

Lady B had been quiet about her firing due to contractual regulations. She was fired in December 2017 and didn't get an opportunity to thank her fans until this Facebook post on May 9th.

Lady B talked about being let go from WRNB below via Twitter. Lady B's next radio move will most likely have her re-surfacing at 105.3 WDAS FM on the weekends at some point once her contractual non-compete clause has expired. It would seem to be a natural fit. (We do notice that the three tweets below are from WDAS midday personality Patty Jackson.)
