Crazy Howard McGee Back on the Air, This Time He's on V103

Crazy Howard McGee, one of Chicago’s most popular radio personality before he lost his morning show to the syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, is about to join Chicago’s top-rated music station after a 12-year absence from the airwaves.

McGee has been hired as weekend and fill-in host at V103 (WVAZ 102.7-FM), the iHeartMedia urban adult-contemporary station. It’s the same company that owns urban contemporary WGCI 107.5-FM, where the irrepressible and charismatic personality spent 14 years, rising from part-time jock to middays, afternoons and then mornings.

Starting April 20, McGee will host from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays on V103.

Read more at RobertFeder.com where he tells Feder he found out about losing his morning show by reading it in the Chicago Sun-Times before his bosses even told him. Derrick Brown, director of urban programming for iHeartMedia Chicago has plans to feature McGee in the community and on the station airwaves as more than just a fill-in and weekend host at V103.
