Talaya Trigueros Exits 94.7 The Wave
After 30 years of hosting middays at 94.7 The Wave (KTWV) in Los Angeles, veteran air personality and voiceover artist Talaya Trigueros has exited the station, due to what is being described as budgetary reasons, ending a career filled with industry awards, accolades and No. 1 ratings.
After 31 years at the very core of 94.7 The Wave, Talaya is moving on. She exudes heart and soul in her every word. Thank you @TalayaTrigueros 💙 pic.twitter.com/0mA4dJVDN2— 94.7 The WAVE (@947thewave) April 18, 2019

From 2012 this is 94.7 The Wave 25th Anniversary celebration where Brian McKnight was once the morning host. Trigueros and the other voices of The Wave talk about their favorite moments at the station. Today only Pat Prescott and Deborah Howell remain at the station.
Sorry to hear about Talaya leaving the Wave in LA. Use to listen to her always when I lived in the Southeast part of LA. But I left Cal (In 2004) for NM. So today, May 7th, 2020 guess who I heard on Watercolors XM? Talaya!!! Now I will be a regular again to Talaya..funny how life is
ReplyDeleteToday,6/19/20 while listening to watercolors I hear a very family voice. I said no way!! Sure enough, it was Talaya. One cannot mistake her soft distinguished radio voice. She is truly a master. I had the pleasure to provide security for show she was involved in in the 80's. She is more pleasant in person than she is on the radio, she is very respectful and has not allowed her fame to go to her head. She IS, a woman of honor! Congrats Talaya Watercolors scored BIG, with you!!!!!...."Straight on ahead"
ReplyDeleteSince Talaya moved to Watercolors, Jazz Station. I cannot stop listening. She is the Best thing that ever happened to that Station. Thank you soo much. Goodbye 94.7 the Wave. I too Love contemporary Jazz!!!!
ReplyDeleteTalaya has the sexiest, smoothest, sultry did I say sensual, dulcimer tone on the XM airwaves or signal. Love Watercolors and her voice-over on channel 66 made me a committed purchaser of Sirius XM subscription services. Talaya, give us a corporate email where we can write you if possible. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAm an avid listener of Watercolors. Wasn't sure about Talaya when I first heard her selections. I'm a east coast guy. But as the months have past, I love listening her. I knew she found her groove when she started playing Zachery Breaux, Exodus Quartet and Euge Groove just to name a few. The litmus test for me is when I pull into my garage and can't get out of the car because one song after another has me bouncing in the seat. Keep playing Talaya and happy one year anniversary!
