The Morning Hustle is Now On Hot 107.5 Detroit

Radio One's Hip-Hop/Urban station Hot 107.5 (WGPR) Detroit has become the first affiliate for the "The Morning Hustle." The show originates from Washington, D.C. and will get a full syndicated run in January. The show at that time will feature Headkrack as lead host who is currently with the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. As for Hot 107.5's former morning show 'The Morning Heat,' co-host Big Greg will move to middays, while co-host Afrika Perry and midday host Ally ‘The Pub’ Washington have exited the station.

“We think the vibe of this new show will really resonate with Detroiter’s,” VP/GM Kathy Stinehour said in a release. “The chemistry between Angie, Lore’l and Jordan is electric and unfiltered. Detroiter’s will remember Jordan from his time as Shorty da Prince doing nights on Hot some years back. He was number one at night and we are delighted he is coming back to the D.”

Radio One is currently in a LMA agreement to program and operate Hot 107.5 which will come to an end at the end of the year. Radio One will be effectively ceasing operations in the Motor City by the end of 2019. In recent months they have sold their Detroit area stations 105.9 Kiss FM and it's Praise Inspiration stations. Radio One also sold heritage station 1200 WCHB back in 2017. As of now there is no word on if they will continue running Hot 107.5.
