Sybil Wilkes Now Hosting Instagram LIVE with Tom Joyner as Her First Guest


Sybil Wilkes the longtime news anchor and co-host on the Tom Joyner Morning Show is launching a news and information chat on the Instagram LIVE social media platform. She announced on IG:

"Starting Monday (April 6, 2020) I'll begin hosting an Instagram live session at 6 pm (CST)/7 pm (EST). Join me Monday through Thursday as I have a discussion with some of my friends on what’s happening in the world and getting their thoughts and opinions on how they feel about it.

I am excited to announce my first guest is none other than my boss, my friend, the legendary Tom Joyner. Yes, @flyjocktomjoyner has agreed to peek out of retirement to be my very first guest. I hope that you will join us!"

Fans of The Tom Joyner Morning are sure to tune in as Sybil Wilkes launches the show on Instagram. During these uncertain times, ashow of this nature is surely needed. Tom Joyner retired from radio in December 2019 and it will be good to hear his voice again.

Sybil Wilkes continues to bring news and information each day to listeners on Radio One stations across the country, through the Reach Media BlackAmericaWeb website and their YouTube channel with her What You Need To Know segments.

Sybil was joined by not only Tom on IG, but cast members Damon Williams, Huggy Lowdown, Chris Paul, Kym Whitley and Sherri Shepherd. Also stopping by were former co-hosts J. Anthony Brown and Myra J. along with comedians Dominique, George Wallace and many others. Tom mentioned that he was thankful and relieved that his Fantastic Voyage cruise which is the major fundraiser for his foundation that benefits HBCU's, was not scheduled during the virus outbreak. It has been postponed.

Tom also mentioned how proud he was of Sybil and her What You Need to Know segments. Sybil asksTom to be a regular part of her Instagram live sessions each Monday. Tom's response: I'm just in the house. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here.
