96.3 WHUR's Legendary Gospel Host Patrick Ellis Has Passed, 96.3 Posts Moving [VIDEO] Tribute "Patrick Ellis Beyond The Mic"

WHUR's Sunday Morning Gospel Host Patrick Ellis has passed away. With his listeners Mr. Ellis had great presence and command over the airwaves of WHUR. His voice was comforting, reassuring, and captivating. With sadness we express our condolences to those that held Patrick dear to their hearts. RIP Patrick Ellis.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing our of beloved, colleague, friend, and esteem member of the 96.3 WHUR Family Patrick Ellis. Patrick died Thursday July 16th due to complications from the coronavirus. Patrick was part of the backbone of WHUR and the Washington, D.C. community.  He was the longest running host on radio in this region.
