The Talk of Chicago WVON 1690 Welcomes The Black Information Network and Roland Martin
In the Chicago area BIN: Black Information Network is also being carried on the HD-2 channel of V103 (WVAZ 102.7-FM) for 24 hours a day. WVON's move to carry BIN also marks a sort of homecoming for Roland Martin.
The now nationally known political pundit and journalist recently signed on to the Black Information Network for commentary. His multi-platform program and podcast “Roland Martin Unfiltered” can now be heard on the iHeartPodcast Network on the iHeartRadio app and also watched on YouTube.

Before Martin's work on CNN and TV ONE, he was a contributor on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, replacing Tavis Smiley in 2008. From October 2005 to October 2008, he served as a radio talk show host for WVON, first as mid-day host and later as morning drive host.
He is the former executive editor/general manager of the Chicago Defender, one of the nation’s most historic Black newspaper. Martin launched the first Black news source audio and video podcast in 2005 and 2006 at the Defender.
