She's Back, The Artist Formerly Known as Danni Starr Returns to Radio on GO 95.3

Former Washington, D.C. radio on-air personality formerly known as Danni Starr is back on the radio in her native Minnesota on Modern Hip Hop GO 95.3 (KZGO Minneapolis/St. Paul). She is best known for hosting "The Fam" morning show on 93.9 WKYS. Prior to that she was a co-host on The Kane Show on Hot 99-5. Both experiences were less than ideal for Ms. Danielle. She quit radio all together (See below) after she was set-up on a bit at WKYS that went completely wrong in 2018.

Until now.

On Instagram she wrote:
“Playing on the airwaves in my hometown. Super grateful, feeling is extremely weird. Ms. Danielle is giving pep talks and good energy out every morning friends. @go953mn 90ish @ 9cst that's 10am for us east coasters. All love, all positivity, all 90s music 💙🧡💙 you can get the Go Radio app, I promise to give you the best half hour of your day! (Y'all see how I limit my media, they get me for 30 mins!) but it's a really fun 30 minutes!”

GO 95.3 has carved out a daily 30 minute 90's "Go Back" segment in their schedule hosted by Ms. Danni where she plays exclusively 90's Hip Hop songs commercial free at 9:00 A.M. (Central Time.) She has the freedom to pretty much run the show as she sees fit with breaks between each song that are a bit longer than what is the standard for most radio stations. (Perhaps that is the norm at GO 95.3.) Program director DJ Bonics follows her for his midday shift.

From Instagram:
“Any guesses what I'm working on?! YOU ARE NOT READY 💜💜💜💜 it's amazing when you walk away from things that hurt your spirit...toxic work places, people etc. and when you realize that all money ain't good money and you hold true to who you are WHAT CAN HAPPEN! People start coming to you. People want to pay you for being YOU. People have no choice but to believe what you've always known, that you bring something to the table that other people don't have. That you are somebody worth paying and respecting. Friends, when you own your magic, they can't deny it. Just you wait... big things poppin friends.”

Ms. Danni has quite a few tales to tell about her radio career as 'Danni Starr' that we have posted previously.

Check out one of our most popular post:

Some of the Facebook and Instagram "apology" posts have since been deleted from this story in 2018.

In the radio bit gone wrong, Danni was "set up" to talk to a potential nanny. This "nanny" who slid into her DM turned out to be an actress and claimed Danni was 'jealous' and 'insecure' of 'pretty girls'. The fallout resulted in Quicksilva and DJ 5'9 being suspended.

The reconciliation lasted less than a couple of weeks. Angie Ange was brought in to host mornings and her show has now evolved into the nationally syndicated "The Morning Hustle."
