Longtime D.C. News Anchor Shawn Yancy Tearfully Says Goodbye to FOX 5 News

What's going on at WTTG FOX 5 in Washington, D.C.? Veteran news anchor Shawn Yancy departed the station on Thursday. She offered a tearful goodbye to DMV television viewers. She is moving on to the next chapter in her career without specifically mentioning any future plans. This comes on the heels of the departure of Allison Seymour on the FOX 5 morning news program. Allison also hosted the afternoon show on 96.3 WHUR with husband Marc Clarke. She like Shawn had worked at FOX 5 for 19 years. This goodbye is eerily similar to Allison's last broadcast back in August. Check out that post and the Twitter reaction below. People will wonder. Within a month two popular Black female anchors have left FOX 5 supposedly as a result of their own choice.

(Notice the Karen moment below...Did she say she drove to Pittsburgh to check out Shawn Yancy on TV before her arrival in D.C.? Did anybody ask her to do that?)

Again viewers want to know, what's going on?
