Tee-Roy, iHeartMedia's on-air personality at 93.3 The Beat in Jacksonville, Power 99 in Philadelphia, and in other markets; tells local Jacksonville TV station News 4 that his listeners say play Kanye West in light of Ye's recent anti-Semitic posts on Twitter that have resulted in him being banned by Elon Musk. “I thought more people would be like, ‘Hey, don’t play Kanye. I don’t want to hear him.’ But the response has been the total opposite So, to me, it’s shocking,” Tee-Roy said. “The biggest thing that came up has been race. Everybody’s said, ‘He’s a Black man and we need to support him as a Black man.’”

ABC News president Kim Godwin has decided to take Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes off the air, saying they’ve become too much of an internal and external distraction. Look for the hosts to return rather quickly as the ratings for 'GMA3' from last week saw a significant boost from the prior two weeks before the news of their affair surfaced. Godwin said that the relationship is not a violation of company policy.

Samantha Chatman has been promoted to weekend morning anchor at Chicago's WLS-TV ABC 7 Eyewitness News.

SiriusXM's Urban View Channel Adds More Powerful Black Voices to Its Lineup with the Premiere of Four New Weekend Programs

Experts Shermichael Singleton, Qasim Rashid, Dr. Robin Smith, and Shelly Bell to host their own Sunday shows beginning September 26

The programs will focus on race relations, culture, business, politics, law, medicine and more

SiriusXM announced today four new, diverse weekly shows led by powerful voices in race relations, culture, business, politics, law, medicine and more. The new programs bolster the Urban View channel's commitment to featuring dynamic discourse from prominent Black voices across a range of topics. The channel will unveil its new Sunday lineup starting Sunday, September 26.

Qasim Rashid, a human rights lawyer, author, Truman National Security fellow, and former nominee for United States Congress, will kick off the day with The Qasim Rashid Show. The program's focus will be on racial, economic, and gender justice, and will tap into the wisdom of diverse leaders and activists who help illuminate how our unique experiences can guide us towards justice, wholeness, and accountability. Guests will include national thought leaders, activists, and politicians. The Qasim Rashid Show airs Sundays at 10:00 am ET.

Dr. Robin Smith is a licensed psychologist, bestselling author and national television personality who was first introduced to viewers around the world as the on-air therapist for The Oprah Winfrey Show. Her new SiriusXM program, The Dr. Robin Show, will address today's most pressing societal challenges through fearless, soulful conversations.
