Audacy WAOK Atlanta Talk Show Personality and Rolling Out Magazine President Rashad Richey Buys Ownership Stake in Two Alabama Radio Stations
Radio and TV host Rashad Richey has purchased a 50 percent stake in two "dark" radio signals in Alabama, WALQ Carrville 1130 AM and WHSL-FM 107.7 FM, for an undisclosed amount. The AM station covers Montgomery and the other station covers Lisman, AL.
Richey hosts the morning show on 1380 WAOK-AM Atlanta and YouTube TV show on the Young Turks (TYT) Network that is also seen on a number of cable TV providers.
Richey has plans to turn WALQ AM into a progressive talk station while the WHSL-FM will become an Adult R&B station as "Classic Mix 107.7 FM." The launch date for both silent signal stations has not been announced
