Zannie K Exits The Morning Bounce on Bounce 105.1 and as PD of 105.9 Kiss-FM


Zannie K Glover has exited Detroit's Classic Hip Hop station "105.1 The Bounce" WMGC-FM. The station is seeking a new morning host to join co-host Shannon Bomia. Glover joined WMGC and sister station  "105.9 Kiss-FM" WDMK-FM as Program Director in November 2020. He added morning host duties in April 2021 at The Bounce. 


Shannon Bomia was partner with Zannie K in May 2021 when she became the winner of the “The Big Break” on-air talent search contest. Prior to joining the station, she spent six years as the Entertainment Manager at Motor City Casino and served as the Promotions Director at iHeartRadio Detroit.


Zannie K was previously the Program Director and PM Drive talent for 105 the VIBE/WGVX-FM in Minneapolis. Glover also served as the Afternoon Drive Personality and Assistant Program Director at B96/KTTB-FM and at KDWB-FM in Minneapolis as well.

More news...On Sunday 107.5 WBLS weekend host LaDawn Black announced she was moving on to a new opportunity and leaving the station. Black made a surprise return to radio this week at her old stomping grounds as a guest host on The AM Clique Morning Show this week on 92Q (WERQ-FM Baltimore). LaDawn hosted the very popular night show 'The Love Zone' until 2013 when she moved over to sister Adult R&B station Magic 95.9 as midday host.

iHeart's Power 99 (WUSL-FM Philadelphia) midday host Cappuchino exits the station. She's been with the station since 2012. 'Way Up with Angela Yee' is now heard on Power 99 as one of the 30 affiliates that carry the syndicated program across the country.

Questlove went to Instagram to celebrate the word “jawn” being recognized as an official word in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. The dialectic term is native to his hometown. In Philadelphia and Eastern PA, “jawn” evolved as a variant of “joint,” originally denoting a place. “Jawn” has been used to describe almost anything that one need not or cannot give a specific name to. Suddenly jawn has become not cool to use.
