News Anchor Troy Johnson Reports on the Jackson Mississippi Water Crisis

Troy Johnson news anchor on 16 WAPT-TV the ABC-TV affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi recently provided updates to Washington, D.C. area radio listeners. The capital city of the state is facing horrific conditions following storms that have hit the area that have caused major flooding. As a result the pumps at area water treatment plants that serve the residents have failed. The city is unable to provide clean drinking water, enough water to take a shower, or even enough to flush a toilet. Johnson filed reports with WTOP News 103.5 FM and 96.3 WHUR.

Troy Johnson's career stops in radio and TV in the DMV have included The Hang Suite at WHUR, news anchor at the former 99.1 WNEW, and TV reporting at NBC 4 Washington WRC-TV. He was also a host on WBAL and WHFS in Baltimore and partnered with Marc Clarke on the iconic Big Phat Morning Show on 92 Q Jams on WERQ-FM from 1999-2006. He also appeared on TV One's former news program NewsOne hosted by Roland Martin.
