Jackie Paige Joins MAJIC 107.5/97.5 as Midday Host Replacing Maria More

Radio One Atlanta announced that radio personality; Jackie Paige will join Atlanta’s #1 Urban AC station, MAJIC 107.5/97.5, as their new Midday host. A Charlotte native and certified personal trainer with a heart for the community, Paige comes to Atlanta from hosting middays on Radio One DC’s WKYS-FM.


“I’m truly excited and honored to be making my way to Atlanta to join the legendary Urban One Atlanta family. The Southern hospitality, award-winning food, and culture is unmatched, and I’m elated to call Atlanta home!”, shared Jackie Paige, “I’d like to thank Jeff Wilson, Tim Davies, Derek Harper, Kashon Powell, Mike Swift, Colby Colb and my entire Radio One family for their continued support. It’s been an amazing ride in the DMV! The journey continues in the A!”


Majic 107.5/97.5’s Program Director, Derek Harper said, “Urban One Atlanta is dedicated to being the home of personalities that connect with the ATL in an authentic way… whether on-air or digitally. We are excited about what Jackie Paige is going to bring to our listeners!”
 

Former midday host Maria More has been on the air, in a part time fill-in role, on the Rickey Smiley Show. More's main focus now has been launching an apparel line, a fitness program, and a podcast since leaving Majic 107.5/97.5. Her podcast is powered by parent company Urban One.

• The Beasley Media Group launches 107.7 “The Bounce” on WUKS-FM in Fayetteville, NC with a variety of throwback Hip Hop and R&B music. The station previously aired an Urban/Hip Hop format as 107.7 Jamz. "We're bringing a whole new idea for what it means to celebrate Throwback Hip Hop in our community," said Beasley Media Group Vice President and Fayetteville Market Manager Kent Dunn. "The biggest difference will be the tempo, and how this station will be a party 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

• Radio One Columbus brings in Leah Henry as the station's new midday personality on Power 107.5 and 106.3 from 10am-3pm. She is a native of Austin, TX and a graduate of Howard University. Henry began her radio career at WHUR in Washington, DC as an intern. She joined Radio One in the DMV in 2017 as a fill in/weekend personality at WKYS as well as Executive Producer for the Quicksilva Show.

• Angie Tejada better known as DJ A&G named music director and midday personality at 93.9 WKYS-FM Washington, D.C. She arrives from Power 106.1 in Jacksonville.
