iHeartMedia Announces New Voice Assistant and Automotive iHeartRadio App Integrations on The Heels of CES 2023

These new iHeartRadio collaborations with world-leading partners provide even more consumers with the best audio products and services anywhere they travel

LAS VEGAS – iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other media outlet and the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac, today announced a new series of voice assistant and automotive integrations for iHeartRadio, the company’s free all-in-one digital music, live streaming radio and podcasting service, on the heels of the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. These new integrations continue iHeart’s promise to be everywhere its listeners are with the products and services they expect, bringing the company’s unparalleled catalog of audio and entertainment content to users in a seamless, easy-to-access way.

“At iHeart, we are committed to providing companionship to our listeners through our massive roster of on-air radio personalities, unmatched lineup of podcast talent and the reach of our local broadcast station brands,” said John Vermeer, Executive Vice President, Digital Distribution and Platform Partnerships for iHeartMedia. “Our partnerships with some of the most innovative companies in voice and automotive technology help us continue this mission by ensuring our content is available to consumers where they expect it today and where they will expect it to be in the future.”

Full details on iHeartRadio’s new integrations can be found below:

Cerence

Cerence, the industry leader in mobility AI, and iHeartRadio team up to deliver new and innovative paths to access iHeartRadio’s full portfolio of audio content to automakers and their drivers. When combined with its industry-leading voice recognition and natural language understanding, Cerence unlocks a seamless iHeartRadio infotainment experience that automakers and mobility OEMs can leverage to delight their drivers across the country.

Fisker Auto

Fisker will include the iHeartRadio streaming app in the entertainment system of the Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV, the centerpiece of which is an industry-leading 17.1-inch touchscreen. The company is excited to provide customers with access to iHeartRadio’s extensive lineup of radio stations, part of its comprehensive strategy of enabling a wide range of compelling entertainment options in Fisker vehicles.

Native Voice

Native Voice, an on-demand voice assistant library that enables users to communicate directly by voice with their favorite brands, and iHeartRadio collaborate to offer direct access to the nation’s largest library of live and on-demand music, radio and podcast content via voice. Early this year, anyone with a Skull-IQ enabled Skullcandy device (Grind, Grind Fuel, Push Active) can simply say “Hey iHeart” for immediate, hands-free access to iHeartRadio’s expansive world of content without having to download the iHeart app. Users will simply say, “Hey iHeart, play Dua Lipa radio” to enjoy instant streaming of their favorite artist station or “Hey iHeart, play 102.7 KIIS FM” to stream local live radio and connect with their community. Over time, users will also be able to select music by mood or genre and play the podcasts they know and love.

TomTom

The new TomTom Digital Cockpit integration will allow car manufacturers to offer iHeartRadio seamlessly on the vehicle display. Through one single interface, drivers can access personal playlists, podcasts and live radio stations, ensuring a frictionless listening experience in the car without having to connect their smartphones since the feature comes natively integrated into the in-dash infotainment system. With iHeartRadio joining the growing ecosystem of media and infotainment services offered by TomTom Digital Cockpit, carmakers can promise a personalized in-car experience that optimizes both driver safety and usability. Attendees can visit the TomTom display at Booth W311 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

VinFast

VinFast, driving forward the global smart electric vehicle revolution, and iHeartMedia have joined forces to bring all the features of the iHeartRadio app into the infotainment system of every VinFast electric vehicle sold in the United States, scheduled to begin hitting US roadways in early 2023.  CES attendees can check out the integration in action by catching a free VinFast Chauffeured ride operating between designated hotels and the LVCC or by visiting VinFast Booth 5501 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Plus, attendees who stop by the booth on Thursday afternoon will enjoy an iHeart DJ spinning live.

iHeartRadio features thousands of live radio stations from across the United States and is home to the iHeartPodcast Network which features more than 750 iHeartPodcasts that span every category from business, sports, spirituality and technology to entertainment, family, comedy and true crime – and everything in between – making iHeartRadio the largest publisher of podcast content in the world with more than 400 million downloads each month.
