NBC4 Washington Anchor Pat Lawson Muse Announces Retirement After 40 Years
After 40 years, NBC4 Washington, D.C. anchor Pat Lawson Muse is moving on to a new season in her life. “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and your support, and for welcoming me into your homes and your hearts for so many years,” she said. Above Muse interviews former WRC-TV anchor/reporter Lea Thompson. It was not too long ago, at the end of 2022, that legendary reporter Pat Collins and anchor Doreen Gentzler retired from NBC4 as well.
Muse made history in the early 1980s when she and Barbara Harrison teamed up as the first African American female anchor team in the country.
Her last broadcast will be on March 24.
