“The Professional Homegirl Podcast” with Eboné to Join The Black Effect Podcast Network

iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God announced that “The Professional Homegirl Podcast”, a show that explores the lives of anonymous women who have overcome seemingly insurmountable odds, will join The Black Effect Podcast Network beginning March 21.

New episodes will launch every Tuesday and fans can binge previous seasons and episodes now on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.  From drug addictions, generational curses and weight loss journeys to domestic abuse, mental health struggles and corporate career challenges, “The Professional Homegirl Podcast” shows the full range of women of color, living full lives through compelling, stories and shared experiences.

“Since 2019, my mission has been to amplify the voices of women of color. I wanted to normalize conversations within my community to humanize women, especially Black women, that took roads less traveled,” said Host Eboné Almon. “Through this new partnership with The Black Effect Podcast Network, I hope to tell more compelling stories and create a space where women of color don’t have to look far to see themselves.”

Who: Eboné Almon is an entrepreneur with a passion for storytelling. Since her show’s inception, Eboné has met many dynamic women who shared their stories of heartbreak, challenge and triumph. Their vulnerability inspired Eboné to continue growing and fostering a space where these experiences can be heard, seen and understood.

When: “The Professional Homegirl Podcast” premieres on The Black Effect Podcast Network on Tuesday, March 21.

Where: Listen to “The Professional Homegirl Podcast” on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.

Greg Gumbel, the in studio host of NCAA College basketball's March Madness on CBS, is stepping away from his play-by-play announcing gig on NFL broadcasts. At CBS, he hosted The NFL Today from 1990-1993. He joined NBC after CBS lost the NFC games to Fox. In 1998, Gumbel returned to CBS for NFL coverage as a play-by-play announcer, studio host in 2004 and 2005, and returning to calling NFL games since 2006. Josh Inness has joined Classic Rock station “KSHE 95” 94.7 FM in St. Louis to host afternoons. He most recently hosted mornings on iHeartMedia’s “105.9 The Rock” Nashville, a show that was syndicated to Detroit and Memphis. A former sports talk host known for his controversial takes, Inness said on Twitter recently, "I don’t want to do sports radio every day. I don’t like the vibe of it. It’s largely miserable."

In 2016 he got fired at a Philadelphia sports station (WIP) for posting a picture of black face vaudeville performer Al Jolson to call out rival station's (97.5 The Fanatic) bit where a white producer was imitating a fake black caller (named "Dee-Wayne") filled with every stereotypical characteristics he could think of. That producer still works at that station on the morning show. Inness gained support from Bomani Jones. >> “Dwayne From Swedesboro” Riles Up Philly Radio.
