• Greg Gumbel, the in studio host of NCAA College basketball's March Madness on CBS, is stepping away from his play-by-play announcing gig on NFL broadcasts. At CBS, he hosted The NFL Today from 1990-1993. He joined NBC after CBS lost the NFC games to Fox. In 1998, Gumbel returned to CBS for NFL coverage as a play-by-play announcer, studio host in 2004 and 2005, and returning to calling NFL games since 2006. Greg Gumbel, 76, is the older brother of Bryant Gumbel.
• Josh Inness has joined Classic Rock station “KSHE 95” 94.7 FM in St. Louis to host afternoons. He most recently hosted mornings on iHeartMedia’s “105.9 The Rock” Nashville, a show that was syndicated to Detroit and Memphis. A former sports talk host known for his controversial takes, Inness said on Twitter recently, "I don’t want to do sports radio every day. I don’t like the vibe of it. It’s largely miserable."
In 2016 he got fired at a Philadelphia sports station (WIP) for posting a picture of black face vaudeville performer Al Jolson to call out rival station's (97.5 The Fanatic) bit where a white producer was imitating a fake black caller (named "Dee-Wayne") filled with every stereotypical characteristics he could think of. That producer still works at that station on the morning show. Inness gained support from Bomani Jones. >> “Dwayne From Swedesboro” Riles Up Philly Radio.
